Shelley J. Edwards, 55, of Vandalia, IL passed away at 10:02 AM, Tuesday, September 07, 2021 at her home surrounded by family.
Shelley Janette Edwards was born on July 27, 1966 in Vandalia, IL, the daughter of Glenn Dean and Billye (Oliver) Dyer. She married Bryan Edwards on June 30, 1989; together they shared over 30 years of marriage.
Shelley was a licensed practical nurse, most recently employed by Vandalia Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center. She was a member of CenterPointe Church, Vandalia. Shelley often volunteered her time at the Lighthouse Pregnancy Center and helping with the Vandalia Public Pool; especially with their haunted house fundraiser. In her spare time, Shelley loved nothing more than spending it with her grandchildren.
Mrs. Edwards is survived by her husband, Bryan Edwards of Vandalia; father, Glenn Dean of Patoka; son, Seth Edwards and wife Amy of Shobonier; daughters, Carley and husband Matt Grove of Altamont, Shelby Edwards and Billy Jackson of Vandalia, Olivia Aikman of Vandalia, and Everlee Stout of Vandalia; sisters, Kelley and husband Sonny Banal of Vandalia, Billie and husband LaNeil of Vandalia, and Mary Dean and wife Melanie Delion of VA; and grandchildren, Bayne Edwards, Evie Edwards, Aspen Edwards, Kynlie Edwards, Charlee Edwards, Caiden Cunningham, and Allison Fitzpatrick.
She was preceded in death by her mother and son, Nicholas Edwards.
Memorial service September 19th, 2021 at 2 pm in Vandalia at her church.
