Col. Meredith Helm, son of Meredith and Margaret Ann Neill Helm, born Nov 19, 1753, Frederick Co, VA and died Oct 12, 1804, near Winchester, Frederick Co, VA, married Frances Sanford Fowler and had at least 8 children.
Colonel Meredith Helm served in Daniels Morgan's Riflemen during the American Revolution and also furnished supplies to the cause. He was granted land in Ohio. He lived on his home called, "Belleville Farm", 4 miles from Winchester, Frederick Co, VA.
There is a memorial for him in the Rest United Methodist Church Cemetery, Frederick Co, VA. The original stone was covering his place of rest in the Milburn Chapel Cemetery in Frederick Co, VA. Broken, it has been repaired and placed in the above mentioned cemetery, while another headstone is in the unkept Milburn Methodist Chapel Cemetery.
