Mrs. Katherine De Rocher, who had been ill for a long time, was taken by death at the home, one mile south of Five Points, Rickardsville, early this morning.
The funeral will be held Saturday morning from the home to St. Joseph's church at Rickardsville, at 10 o'clock. Interment will be made in the adjoining cemetery.
Mrs. De Rocher was born in Pennsylvania April 13, 1844, and had resided in Center township for the past seventy-five years. She was married to John D. De Rocher in the old St. Mary's church, located on Eighth and White streets. Her husband, a son and a daughter preceded her in death.
She leaves to mourn her loss four daughters, Mrs. Joseph Kotzer, Center township; Mrs. E.J. Gartner, Dubuque; Mesdames Nicholas Gansemer and Carolyn Lindecker, Rickardsville; fifteen grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
Being a Catholic, a member of St. Joseph's church at Rickardsville, she was comforted in her last hours by the rites of that religion.
