Ruth "Ruthie" F. Hicks, 73, of Plant City, Florida, born in Tampa on July 28, 1948, entered into eternal rest on August 31, 2021. She was former co-owner of Jack Hicks Steel Fabrication. She loved her family dearly. She enjoyed traveling, bingo and computer games. She is survived by children, Ben Milligan of Bellingham, Washington, Carla Youmans (Jeremy Beaty) of Plant City, and Brandi Spivey (Mitchell Chamale) of Casselberry; grandchildren, Jarrett, Brantlee, Caden, and one on the way; and siblings, Helen Keen, Jack Hicks, Diane Hicks, and Carolyn Sharkas. She was preceded in death by son, Timothy Spivey. A funeral service was held Thursday, September 9 at Hopewell Funeral Home, Ruthie said in lieu of flowers, take your mother out to dinner in her memory.
