Manuel Z. Bentancur, 65, of Richmond, was born on June 1, 1956 in Rosenberg, TX to Enrique T. Bentancur and Valentina Zuniga Bentancur, and he passed away on September 3, 2021 in Houston, TX.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 10, 2021, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a rosary at 6:00 p.m., and Saturday, September 11, 2021, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Caballero-Ryder Funeral Home in Rosenberg, with interment following at San Gabriel Annex Cemetery.
Manuel Bentancur was a man of many talents. He loved to play the guitar and formed a band. Manuel was an accomplished master carpenter and was knowledgeable in all aspects of carpentry and was highly sought after. Manuel had a great sense of humor and was a dedicated son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, and uncle who loved and adored his family.
Manuel is preceded in death by his father, Enrique T. Bentancur, and his daughter, Jacqueline Bentancur.
Manuel is survived by his wife, Janie Ramirez; his mother, Valentina Bentancur; and his children, Jeanette Ramirez, Guadalupe Ramirez, Rachel Ramirez, Manuel T. Bentancur, Valentina Bentancur, Cecilia Bentancur, Pauline Oviedo and husband, Carlos, Ruby Bentancur; brother, Henry (Blue) Bentancur; sisters, Ninfa Davila and husband, Ramon, Dolores Lopez and husband, Daniel, Triny Zamora and husband, Robert, and Celia Palacios and husband, Delfino. Manuel had 25 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
