Born in Frostburg, Maryland, the son of Joseph and Elizabeth Stewart, he retired from A&P Tea Company as a meat cutter in 1962 after 21 years of service. Mr. Stewart had lived in Akron 59 years. He was a member of Akron Eagles 555.
He leaves a son, Richard Stewart of Akron; daughters, Mrs. Elaine Sellers of West Virginia and Mrs. Ruth Wells of Barberton; sister, Mrs. Eva Busky and Mrs. Mary Dando, both of Akron; five grandchildren; plus 11 great-grandchildren.
Funeral in Schlup Funeral Home Friday at 1 p.m. with burial in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
