James "Buddy" Griggs 73 of Hot Springs, AR passed away on Friday September 3, 2021 in a Little Rock hospital. He was born on December 8, 1947 in Texarkana, AR. Mr. Griggs was a veteran of the U S Navy and a member of Oil City United Pentecostal Church in Oil City, LA.

He was preceded in death by his parents James and Azelle Griggs, sisters, Rose Marie Griggs and Mary Ann Hargrove.

Survivors included his wife Theresa Griggs of Hot Springs, AR; two sons and daughter-in-law, James Wallace Griggs, III of Texarkana, TX and Clint and Heather Griggs of Hot Springs, AR; daughter and son-in-law, Chastity Griggs-Price and husband Eric of Urbandale, IA; four brothers and sister-in-laws, Kenneth Griggs of Texarkana, TX, Leo and Linda Griggs of Dallas, TX, Arthur Griggs of Bivins, TX and Tracy Griggs of Sherwood, AR; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Kathy and Larry Hollis of Atlanta, TX and Suzanne and Leslie of Bivins, TX; 13 grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be 2pm Wednesday September 8, 2021 at Oil City United Pentecostal Church, 701 LA 1 in Oil City, LA with Rev. James Kent Rhoads officiating; Burial will be in O'Farrell Cemetery
