Bernice Cox Barnes, 91, of Fayetteville passed away Tuesday, August 31, 2021 at her home with her beloved family by her side.

Bernice was born June 18, 1930 in Robeson County, NC to the late Novella Britt and Wesley Cox.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Ray Barnes, Sr., sons, Earl Ray Barnes, Jr., Stephen Dudley Barnes, and Robert Shawn Barnes.

Bernice was a faithful member of Grace Baptist Church. She was a military wife that loved and took care of her family and the home. Bernice loved her family, music, and dancing.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 3, 2021 at 2:00 pm in Cumberland Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Chapel. The family will receive friends prior to the service at the Cumberland Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Chapel on Friday from 1-2:00 pm.

Survived by her son, William Wesley Barnes; daughter-in-law, Donna Barnes; partner, Ben J. Clark; grandchildren, Stephanie Barnes, Mandy Unger and husband Guy, Earl Ray Barnes, III and wife Amy, Stephen Barnes, John Michael Barnes, Ashley Barnes and wife Elena, Brittany Barnes, Jessica Barnes; great-grandchildren, Amelia Unger, Eli Barnes, Katlyn Barnes, Alivia Barnes, Madison Barnes.
