Obituary, Helzer —

Augusts Elsie Arp Helzer was born to Mr. and Mrs. G. Arp on Dec. 26, 1878, in Hanover, Germany, and went to her reward at her son's home in Arcadia, Calif. on Oct. 6, 1965 at the age of 86 years, 9 months and 10 days.

After the passing of her husband in 1940 she was united in marriage to Henry Helzer in 1941. He preceded her in death in 1947.

She spent the last five years of her life in California where she was enjoying good health.

She is survived by one son, the rest having preceded her in death. She is also survived by five grandchildren, seven great grandchildren. She also leaves her stepchildren, John Helzer, Mrs. Irene Arp and Mrs. Lily Haberman, Mrs. June Huber, Mrs. Martha Bruning of Sutton and vicinity: Mrs. Rose Krug of Harvard; Mrs. Esther Schneller of Verona; Mrs. Jean Sparks and Mrs. Ruth Cook of Omaha: Mrs. Helen Borcher of Colorado: Clyde Helzer of Texas; Mrs. Mae Petro of Long Beach, Calif., and Mrs. Lovella Alberding of Arcadia, Calif.

Memorial services were held Wednesday, Oct. 13, at 2 p.m. at the Alberding Funeral home with Rev. Wm. Armold officiating. Mrs. Ruth Voorhees played the organ.

By his golden promise God showed men that he cared and that our loved ones surely live in a place He has prepared. That death is not a barren wall. It is, instead, a door which opens to God's promise of new life forever more.
