Obituary - Alta Knowlton Lindsay, 95, died December 22, 1990 of causes incident to age.
She was born May 7, 1895 at Farmington, a daughter of Benjamin Franklin and Sarah Ann Clark Knowlton.
She married Samuel Roland Lindsay, August 18, 1921 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He died April 22, 1987.
She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served a mission in the Hawaiian Islands in 1918 and returned to serve again with her husband in 1957-59.
She is survived by four daughters: Mrs. Harry (Jean) Hancock, Payson; Mrs. Wendell (Afton) Frisby, Swan Valley, Idaho; Mrs. Wesley Duane (Barbara) Roper, serving an LDS Mission in Germany, and Mrs. Boyd (Myrl) Anderson of Payson; 22 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren; a brother, Stewart Knowlton, Seattle, Washington.
Services will be Thursday, 11 a.m. in the Payson Park Ward Chapel, 110 South 300 West. Friends may call at the Walker Mortuary, 587 South 100 West, Payson, Wednesday, 6-8 p.m. or at the church Thursday, 10-10:50 a.m. Burial, Payson City Cemetery.
