Bobby "Max" Fletcher, 84, of Columbus, GA died Monday, August 30, 2021 at his residence.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, September 2, 2021 in the chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory with Rev. Jerry Spear officiating. The family will receive friends 5:00-7:00 PM Wednesday, September 1, 2021 at McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907. Interment will be at Parkhill Cemetery. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we encourage everyone to make the best decisions to remain safe. If anyone wishes to attend the chapel service, please remember to remain 6 feet apart from those not in your household and wear personal protective equipment.

Max was born June 30, 1937 in Moultrie, GA to the late P.D. Fletcher and Janie Anderson Fletcher. He worked for Columbus Carpet Mill Store as a Scheduler for 35 years. He was a member of Northside Baptist Church and Lewis Dawson's Sunday School Class. He loved the Atlanta Braves and Georgia Bulldogs, enjoyed fishing, traveling, especially to the mountains, and spending time with family and friends.

Max is survived by his wife of 36 years, Bobbie Parmer Fletcher of Columbus, GA, children; Bobby "Glenn" Fletcher (Anne) of Summerville, GA, Angela Craft of Columbus, GA, Melody Bishop (Tony) of Fortson, GA, Rhonda Medley (Jody) of Phenix City, AL, Wendy Bryan and fiancé' Jeff Watson of Columbus, GA, Charles Lamar Bryan of Columbus, GA, brother-in-law, Benny Parmer (Debbie) of Midland, GA,13 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to Northside Baptist Church at 959 54th St, Columbus, GA 31904.
