MICHAEL ANTHONY AVERY, SR.
July 20, 1947 - August 02, 2021

Michael Anthony Avery, Sr., passed away at the age of 74 on August 2, 2021. Michael accomplished many things in life. He was a Navy Veteran, Kitchen Chef, Martial Arts Teacher, Detective, Respiratory Therapist, Educator, PhD and Ordained Minister.

Michael was greeted in Heaven by his Lord and Savior Jesus as well as his wife, Sherry Avery; his sons, Michael Anthony Avery, Jr, Troy Alexander Avery and Victor Edward Avery; his first born grandson, Troy Alexander Avery; mother, Marie D. Lugo-Ortiz; brother, Ramon Mendoza. He waited many years to be reunited with them and no doubt there was a party up in heaven that day!

Michael leaves behind his only daughter, Michelle Spackman and his only surviving son, Demetrius Avery; sisters, Tavia Lee and April Lee; many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Private family services will be held at a later date.
