Bill was born August 6, 1926 in Alma, OK to Thomas and Mildred Tipton. He served in the U.S. Navy as a Seaman. Bill married Blanche Prindle on June 7, 1946 in Levelland. He was a truck driver for forty-six years while his hobby was farming.
Loved ones include wife, Blanche Tipton; his children, Diann Hensley, Pat Jackson (Steve), Jimmy Tipton (Anita), and Marilyn Bramlett (Arthur); son-in-law Dan Oliver (Ilene), brother, Gene Tipton; sister, JoAnn Bearden; 13 grandchildren Kim, Tammie, Shanna, DeLaina, Jennie, Daniel, Andrew, Christina, Treysa, Curtis, Lia, Chris, and Dannielle; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Preceded in death by his parents and daughters, Carol Tipton and Elaine Oliver; son-in-law Charlie Hensley three grandchildren Charles Garland, Jaycie Brown, and Tim Bramlett.
Memorials are suggested to the Children's Home of Lubbock.
A celebration of his life will be 10:30 am, Thursday, September 2, 2021 in Sanders Memorial Chapel. Graveside services will follow in Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park. His family will receive friends from 7:00-8:30 pm, Wednesday at Sanders Funeral Home.
