Dr. Carl N Taylor D.D.S., age 87, of Ocala, FL passed to the Lord Almighty on August 26, 2021.

Carl was an inspiration of love to his family. He showed kindness to all throughout his life.

Carl was born in Darlington, PA. Carl married his first wife Lois in 1954 while attending college in Pennsylvania. After graduation from the University of Pittsburgh Dental School, Carl practiced dentistry in Key West, FL starting with his first assignment with the Navy. He and Lois liked their life in Key West so much that when it came time to reenlist, he chose to transition to private practice and raise their children there. Carl enjoyed boating and fishing in the waters around Key West and he was an active member in the US Power Squadron. Carl contributed to the Key West community as Chairman of the Board for Florida Keys Community College, a member of the Masonic Lodge, and a member of the Civitan Club. For many years he was Scoutmaster of Boy Scout Troop 586 and inspired leadership and dedication among the members. He was a recipient of the Silver Beaver award for 25 years of service by the Boy Scouts of America, South Florida Council. In retirement, he and his wife Lois moved to Ocala, FL and explored numerous destinations in their RV as part of the Airstream, Florida Springs Unit. They held leadership positions in the chapter while planning caravan trips for the group. They often traveled with grandchildren and made many lifelong friendships. He was an enthusiastic "Joker" player and participated in tournaments occasionally but will always be remembered by family and friends as the "joker king" for his uncanny ability to draw the right card at the right time.

Carl and Lois had been good friends with fellow Airstreamers, Sid and Wendy Mackay. Wendy's husband Sid passed away in 2008 and Carl's wife Lois passed away in 2011. Carl married Wendy in January of 2013. Carl and Wendy would spend summers in Canada and winters in Florida while they continued their RV adventures. They eventually chose Ocala as their fulltime residence.

Carl was preceded in death by: his wife Lois; parents Harry and Ethel; siblings Kate and Ralph.

Carl is survived by: his wife Wendy; brothers Harry and Bob; sons Carl Jr. (Marie), Bruce (Laurie), John (Janice), and stepdaughter Dorothy; grandchildren Carl lll (Jenny), Andrea (Sam), Matthew, Christine (Justin), John Jr. (Samara), Christopher (Carley) and step grandchildren Christopher (Melonie), Jonathan, Andrew; and eight great grandchildren.
