Thomas Lee Foster, 89, of Salisbury, MO, died Saturday, August 28, 2021 at Brunswick Nursing Home. Tom was born November 3, 1931 in Moberly, MO, the son of Charles Thomas and Alta Frances (Powers) Foster.
Tom attended school in Moberly, MO. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean war. In 1964 Tom took over the family shoe repair business in Salisbury and operated it until his death. Tom was a member of the Salisbury United Methodist Church where he served as an usher. He was also a member of Salisbury American Legion, VFW and former member of the Salisbury Kawanis Club. He was well known as Santa Claus to the Salisbury Community.
Tom was married to Mary Kathryn Brewer on February 26, 1972 in Salisbury and she preceded him in death on August 2, 1997. On August 6, 2000 he married Rosetta Boeger and she preceded him in death on September 2, 2001. Tom is survived by cousins.
Funeral service was September 2, 2021 at the Salisbury United Methodist Church in Salisbury, followed by military graveside services at the Eastlawn Memory Garden in Salisbury.
