Ruth Marie Cookendorfer (73) of Falmouth, KY passed away Saturday, August 28, 2021 at the St. Elizabeth Healthcare in Edgewood. She was born in Falmouth on September 12, 1947, daughter of the late Melvin "Bud" and Ruth Alene Pugh Allender. In addition to her parents Ruth is preceded in death by her husband Terry Cookendorfer, sons Michael Allender and Robert Hamilton, one brother Stanley Allender and one sister Vicky Call
Ruth was a member of Trinity Baptist Church. Ruth worked Community Action for NorthKey Community Care, other places she worked throughout the community Stop and Tell Restaurant, Lakeside and the Senior Center.
Survivors include her children Shawn Richie, Pam Hunley and Laura Richter, sisters Linda (the late Duke) Yoakum, Wanda (the late Marion) Zumwalt, 14 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on 11-1pm Thursday, September 2, 2021 at the Peoples Funeral Home in Falmouth. Funeral services will immediately follow at 1pm also at the funeral home. Ruth's final resting place will be at Lenoxburg. Online condolences can be submitted at www.peoplesfuneralhomes.com.
