She was born August 15, 1843, at Jackson county, Tennessee, and she was married to Martin V. Allen, who died on May 11, 1911. They Allen family came to Kansas in 1865, and homesteaded on a farm just across the road where she died.
She leaves three sons and two daughters, Frank, Robert and Vesper Allen who live at home, Mrs. Glover of Lane, Kansas, and Mrs. Ed Callahan, of Kansas City.
