Jesus G. Cervantes, age 98, of Harlingen, Texas, passed away on Thursday, August 26, 2021. He was born February 14, 1923, in Jamay, Jalisco Mexico to Santos and Felicitas Godinez Cervantes.
Jesus is preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Antonia Cervantes; his two sons, Tony Cervantes and Pedro Cervantes.
He leaves to cherish his beautiful memory, his loving children, Angelina Rodriguez (Miguel), Manuel Cervantes (Bernabe), Juanita Flores (Eleazar), Herminia Cervantes, Jesus Cervantes (Amelia), Flor Tajgardoun (Frank), and Santos Cervantes (Maggie); grandchildren, Mike Rodriguez, Angie Garza, Ralph Olmos, Charlie Olmos, Laura Flores, Jessie Flores, Norma Cervantes, Laura, Flores, Araceli Cervantes, Mallek and Monica Tajgardoun, Max and Veronica Cervantes, and Ricky Moreno; great grandchildren, Joshua and Madison, Makayla Olmos, Danny, Jaime, and Alison Puente, Isabella, Leila, Brian, and Leah Moreno, Alyssa, Amanda, Mikey, and Sophia Rodriguez, Angelina Marie Garza, Pedro Cervantes, Amelia, Auden, Eddie, Leam, and Louie Flores; siblings, Jose Cervantes, Luis Cervantes, Enrique Cervantes, Rosa, and Coco; along with numerous nephews and nieces.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 28, 2021, from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm with a prayer service at 7:00 pm at Trinity Funeral Chapel of the Holy Spirit.
Chapel Service will be held on Sunday, August 29, 2021, at 12:30 pm at Trinity Funeral Chapel of the Holy Spirit. Interment will follow at Mont Meta Memorial Park Cemetery in San Benito, Texas.
