John Herbert Kenney born March 9, 1937 in Roslyn Heights, New York passed away on August 25, 2021 while resting peacefully at home.

John was a devout Catholic throughout his life.

After marrying Agnes Bolton on June 18, 1960, the two spent their 61 years devoted to each other and their five sons, eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

John was an avid baseball fan and spent many years coaching his sons and countless others on the field. He also enjoyed fishing, golf and woodworking. When not busy with work or coaching he could be found on the water, on a fairway or in his shop.

After retiring from Exxon in 1994, John and Agnes retired to Niceville, Florida from Humble, Texas, and eventually relocated to Georgetown, Texas.

John is survived by his wife Agnes Bolton Kenney and five sons; John and wife Evelyn of Silverdale, Washington, Kevin and wife Karri of Humble, Texas, Stuart of Georgetown, Texas, Richard and Robert Griffith of Southlake, Texas and Bryan and wife Tori of Leander, Texas. John is also survived by grandchildren Aubrey Tolentino and wife Leslie, Chris Tolentino and wife Diane, EJ Tolentino, Sean Kenney and wife Haley, Taylor Kenney, Samantha Kenney, Brenna Kenney and Matthew Kenney, and great grandchildren Max and Ella Tolentino. Brother Joseph Kenney of Port St. Lucie, Florida, Sister, Mary Anne Terech of Palm City, Florida.

John is preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Anna Kenney, his sister Anne Roberts, brother Robert Kenney, nephew Rob Kenney and great grandson Eli Tolentino.

A Rosary and Visitation will be held at 3:00pm Thursday, September 2, 2021 at The Chapels of Ramsey Funeral Home. A funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 am Friday, September 3, 2021 at Santa Rosa de Lima Catholic Church, 6571 FM 970, Florence, Texas. Followed by a burial starting at 3:00pm at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery located at 11463 Tx-195, Killeen, Texas.
