Mrs. Leathie Pickron Jackson, age 85, passed away August 27, 2021. She was born March 24, 1936. in Florala, Alabama, the daughter of Mal Pickron and Eddie Harrison Pickron.

Leathie worked in the textile industry in our area for many years. She loved to prepare meals for her family and friends and was known for her legendary 17 layer chocolate cake. Leathie also enjoyed caring for her flowers around her home, and she also enjoyed crocheting. Nothing was more important to her than spending time with her family. Leathie was loved by many because she gave love to so many. She will be dearly missed by her loved ones who celebrate the fact that she is at peace with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Leathie was preceded in death by her parents, Mal Pickron and Eddie Harrison Pickron; husband, Donald Ray Jackson two daughters, Donna Sue Jackson and Renee Philips

Leathie is survived by one son, five grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren, and she loved being their "Nanny."

Funeral : 3:00 pm, Sunday, August 29, 2021, at Evans Funeral Home, with Ray Bundy and Charlie Williams officiating.

Visitation: 1 hour before services.

Interment: in New Hope Cemetery.
