Clinton Larry Combs, 74, of Fancy Gap, passed away on Friday, August 27, 2021 at his home. Mr. Combs was born April 5, 1947 to the late William Dorsey Combs and Vera Mae Rippey Combs in Mt. Airy, NC.

Clinton is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Brenda Smith Combs and three favorite children; Steve Combs (Melissa), Renae Sizemore (Gary), and Tonya Combs; nine grandchildren, Jessica Combs Vaughn (Cody), Cody Sizemore, Jarrett Combs (Channing), Brea Sizemore AKA "Sally", Loagan Williams, Jaeton Whitaker, Dylan Stiltner, Shay Marshall (Aaron) and Van Sizemore; six great-grandchildren, Teague and Haze Vaughn, Easton and Saylor Combs, and Brayden and Rylan Marshall; two special children, Jama Dollyhigh and Bobby Lowe; brother, Carroll Combs (Janet); sister, Louese Felts (Dewey); uncle, Charlie Rippey (Geraldine); several nieces and nephews; and a blessed amount of special friends that are too many to include.

Clinton was a member of Stone Mountain Baptist Church and a man of many hobbies, including, drag racing, coon hunting, softball, horse pulling, rabbit hunting, wagon training and an avid New York Yankees fan.

The family would like to express a special thank you to Blue Ridge Home Health, especially Julie Edmonds and Laura Webb, and to Mountain Valley Hospice, for all the kind gestures towards our family in our time of need. He will be missed by all!

Friends and family are welcome to visit at his home.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 30, 2021 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 2:00 PM with Pastor David Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in the Susie Hawks Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, August 29, 2021 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM. A guestbook is available online by visiting www.vaughanguynnandmcgrady.com. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
