Glen E. Burchett passed away on Nov. 26, 2007, at the great age of 91. Glen was born on Jan. 9, 1916, to George and Fannie Burchett on a ranch at the head of Snow Creek 35 miles north of Jordan in Dawson County. The County was later divided into the western half and became Garfield County.

Glen at the age of 19 married Huberta Hubbard on Dec. 2, 1935. From this marriage they had four children, Gwen (Dick) McClanahan, Georgie Moore, Delmar Burchett and Marjorie (Gary) Zeigler. He is survived by four children, eight grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren and a sister-in-law, Florence Burchett.

Glen was preceded in death by his wife, Huberta; a brother, Lloyd; sister Ruby Engdahl and brother-in-law, Kenneth Engdahl; and George and Fannie, his mother and dad.
Glen and Huberta ranched on Snow Creek until the fall of 1949, when they moved to Huntley. Here they ranched until Huberta passed away in January of 1996 after 60 years of marriage.

Glen enjoyed playing his mandolin and getting together with family and friends, dancing, hunting and fishing and camping.

Interment will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
