MEDFORD – Services for Mrs. David Carlson, 76, town of Grover, who died Wednesday morning at Memorial Hospital, where she had been a patient for the past six weeks, are to be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Hemer Funeral Home. The Rev. Warren Behling, pastor of the St. Paul's Lutheran Church will officiate and burial will be made in Medford Evergreen Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 2 until 9 p.m. Sunday and until the time of services on Monday.

The former Ruth Larson was born Dec. 18, 1896, at Prentice; attended school there and was a graduate of the Superior Normal School. She taught schools at Jump River, the Wayside School, west of Medford, and later at Perkinstown until her retirement in 1945. For a number of years she resided in the town of Holway and since 1932 has lived in the town of Grover.

She was married Jan. 1, 1918 at Medford to David Carlson, who died Jan. 8, 1972.

She is survived by three sons, Marlin, New Richmond; Lester, Unity, and Roy, Overland Park, Kan.; four daughters, Mrs. Angel (Mable) Notagocomo, Los Angeles; Mrs. William (Gladys) Pawelko, Medford; Mrs. Edward (Florence) Tytor, Withee, and Mrs. Carl (Ethel) Miller, Racine; 28 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren, and five sisters, Mrs. Arnold (Ann) Schmeiser, Chippewa Falls; Mrs. Claus (Hilda) Johnson, Cambridge, Minn.; Mrs. Frank (Ella) Bixby, Prentice; Myrtle Johnson, Eugene, Ore.; and Mrs Henry Johnson, Prentice.

A daughter Lois died in 1921 and a son, Jerry, died in 1958.
