Ann L. Schmeiser, 85, formerly of 320 Portland Ave., Chippewa Falls, died Saturday, Dec. 10 at her daughter's home in Deerfield, Ill.

She was born Feb. 27, 1898 in Melrue, Price County, the daughter of Mary (Kilgren) and John Larson, was raised in the Prentice area.

Ann was united in marriage to Arnold J. Schmeiser in 1917 in Medford, where they lived until moving to Chippewa Falls in 1936. She lived in Chippewa Falls until 1981, when she moved to Highland Park, Ill., to live with her daughter. Ann was a member of Royal Neighbors.

Survivors include two daughters, Joan (Mrs. Edward) Tead of Deerfield, Ill., and Norma (Mrs. George) Coleman of Highland Park, Ill.; two sisters, Myrtle Johnson of Portland, Ore., and Hilda Johnson of Cambridge, Minn.; five grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one daughter, Arlene Frank in 1946, one brother and three sisters.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Peterson-Volker Funeral Chapel. The Rev John Ericksen of Central Lutheran Church will officiate. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery, Chippewa Falls.

Friends may call at 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and until the time of the service Wednesday at the funeral chapel.
