Funeral Services will be held 11:00AM-Monday, August 23, 2021 at Rose & Graham Funeral Chapel in Benson, NC. Revs. Randy Clipp and Rhonda Hamilton will officiate. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery in Newton Grove, NC.
Mr. King was born on April 10, 1948 in Sampson County to the late Woodrow and Nora Gainey King. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by siblings, Mitchell King, Shirley King McPhail, and Rachel King Dorman; and son-in-law, Robbie Stephenson.
Mr. King was a truck driver with various companies and worked with the Department of Corrections for over 19 years. He was a member of Community Free Will Baptist Church in Weldon, NC.
Surviving include his wife, Betty Ferrell of Roanoke Rapids; daughter, Millie King Stephenson of Bunn; sons, Ernest Millard King Jr. of Benson and Donald Wayne King and wife Shannon of Zebulon; grandchildren, Heather Parrish Reed, Harley Stephenson Corbett, Charley Stephenson, Steven King, Allan King, Hunter King, and Chance King; great grandchildren, Logan James Reed, Nolan Richard Reed, Robbie Dale Corbett, Nathan Ray Corbett, and Presley Dawn Corbett; sister, Jane King Chouquette; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6:00PM-8:00PM on Sunday, August 22, at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Benson, NC.
