Eileen Hanson passed away peacefully on August 6, 2021 at the age of 95. Eileen was born to Gilbert and Christine Hanson on December 19, 1925, in Sheyenne, North Dakota. Eileen attended school in Sheyenne and after graduating moved to Washington State.
On July 25, 1945 Eileen married Harlan (Harley) Hanson at the Bushnell General Army Hospital chapel. After Harley was discharged from the hospital the two moved to Napa, CA.
On June 22, 1946 they welcomed a daughter, Christie Hanson. Eileen went to work for the Sunsweet Prune Factory in Napa, retiring in the early 70's.
After retirement Harley and Eileen traveled in their motorhome to all of their favorite fishing spots. Boca Reservoir was one of their favorites. They enjoyed camping with Eileen's siblings and spent many summers fishing on the lake. In addition to camping and fishing, Eileen loved gardening, reading, baking. She spent most of her free time in her backyard, planting flowers, and feeding the squirrels and, birds, hummingbirds being her favorite. Eileen loved her family more than anything and was extremely close with her grandchildren.
Eileen is preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Harlan Hanson, her daughter Christie Evans, sisters Lilian Stensby, Donna Jobe and brother Norman Olson. She is survived by her son-in-law Dennis Evans, her granddaughters Kimberly (Doug) Wilkinson and Tracy (Doug) Egbert, her great grandchildren, Michael Hudson, Mindy (Nick) Mcglothern, Alexandra Egbert, Brady and Bryan Egbert, her great-great grandchildren, Hudson, Cooper and Maverick McGlothern, and numerous nephews and nieces.
Graveside Services will be held on Friday, August 13, 2021 at Tulocay Cemetery.
