Robert "Bob" S. Ramsey, 79, of Rochester, IL passed away on August 16th, 2021 at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.

Bob was born in Springfield, IL on July 17, 1942 the son of Roy and Edna (Huch) Ramsey. He married Jacquelyn L. Dufner on June 12th, 1965 in Springfield, IL and she survives.

He is preceded in death by his mother and father; sister, Ruth Wulf; brothers, Raymond and Russell Ramsey; and a grandson, Tavin Benton.

Bob is survived by his wife, Jacquie Ramsey of Rochester; daughter, Patty (Randy) Marcolini of Rochester; son, Jeff (Rachel) Ramsey of Rochester; grandchildren, DJ Benton, Camden Ramsey, Jace Benton, Kyler Benton and Bryer Ramsey; great grandchildren, MiaJean Johnson and Zeke Benton; sisters, Jen (Joe) Segretto of Springfield, Ann Haines of Springfield and Grace Ramsey of Scales Mound, IL; and a brother, Richard (Ann) Ramsey of Rochester; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and many beloved friends.

Bob graduated from Rochester High School in 1960 and proudly served his country in the Army National Guard. Bob and his brother, Raymond, purchased the grain elevator in Berry, IL in 1964 and continued to operate it until the time of his death. Bob served as a volunteer for the Rochester Fire Department for over 35 years. He also served on the Illinois Grain and Feed Association as a Director and as Secretary for many years. He served as Cooper Township Supervisor for 20+ years as well. Bob was a member of the Vintage Iron Riders and of Lincoln Land ABATE.

Bob enjoyed time spent on his Harley Davidson motorcycles. This included trips to Lima, Ohio; Daytona Beach, Fla; and Sturgis, SD to name a few. He was an avid sports fan which included Illini Basketball and the St Louis Cardinals. Most of all, he was a hard core Rochester Rocket fan!

Burial will follow at Rochester Cemetery.
