Peter Michael White, known as Mike, passed away suddenly on August 1, 2021, at his home in Petaluma, California. Mike was a long-time Davis resident, from 1963 until 2006, and returned to Davis often to play golf and attend Aggie events.

Mike moved to Davis as an Air Force Airman in 1963. He was stationed at the communications station in South Davis until his discharge in 1966. He stayed in Davis, first attending Sacramento City College, and then UC Davis, and graduating with a degree in History in 1972. Over the years he worked in retail and real estate, then with the Probation Department of Yolo County until his retirement in 2006.

Mike settled in Petaluma in 2007. He made many friends on his daily walks. He was a lover of all dogs, sports, and many people. His fierce loyalty to UCD and the Aggies was demonstrated by his regular wardrobe choice of UCD attire. He is lovingly remembered by former spouses Donna Douglas of Davis and Melissa Meith of Fairfax; and his many friends, old, new, and canine.

Mike's remains will be interred at the Sacramento Valley National Cemetery in Dixon at 1 p.m. Monday, Oct. 11. No gathering is planned, but all are welcome at the interment to share stories and good memories. Remembrances in Mike's honor can be directed to the Cal Aggie Marching Band Endowment, the UCD School of Veterinary Medicine, or to the Marin Humane Society.
