Mrs. Roena Bennett, aged 62 years, died Tuesday at her home at Independence. She came from Ohio to Elk City in 1899 and located with her husband at Elk City, where she lived until four years ago. She was a member of the "Evening Light" church and the burial will be made in the Belleview cemetery, twenty-five miles from Independence.
