Mark passed away August 17, 2021 in Tyler. He was born December 26, 1956 in Nacogdoches to James Lewis Goodson Jr. and Frances Geraldine Tidwell.

Mr. Goodson was a member of Willow Springs Baptist Church where he served as a deacon. He loved studying the Bible and teaching Sunday School. Mark enjoyed reading books and loved cars and trucks. He was known as an honest mechanic and tried to do his best to repair vehicles right the first time. Mark enjoyed music. He played the guitar and piano and had a wonderful bass voice. He loved spending time with his family.

Mr. Goodson is preceded in death by his parents, James Lewis "Hick" Goodson, Jr. and Frances Geraldine "Jerri" Goodson; two brothers: Matt and Michael Goodson; and grandparents: Edward and Lottie Tidwell and James Lewis and Anna Goodson.

Mark is survived by his wife, Jeannie Goodson of Edgewood; two sons and their wives: Scott Mark and Wanda Goodson of Desoto, TX and Lewis and Laura Goodson of Troy, TX; two granddaughters: Faith and Katelyn Goodson; brother and sister-in-law, Mitch and Cindy Goodson of Edgewood; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Kenneth and Nell Farnsworth of Lindale; sister-in-laws: Diane and Kenneth Hooker of South Carolina, Karen and Gary Rabe of Edgewood, and Grace Smith of Forney; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Rett Rabe, Kyle Rabe, Jason Goodson, Daniel Goodson, James Goodson, Jeffery Goodson and Kayla Christopher.
