Michael passed away August 2, 2021 in Tyler. He was born June 26, 1951 in Edgewood to James Lewis "Hick" Goodson, Jr. and Frances Geraldine "Jerri" Tidwell Goodson.
Mike was a member of Willow Springs Baptist Church where he was a door greeter. He enjoyed drinking Cokes and eating Milky Way candy bars every day. Mike loved to listen to Southern Gospel Music and collected Breyer Horses and Bulls. He enjoyed watching Texas Ranger Baseball games and Dallas Cowboy games. Christmas was his favorite time of the year. He got so much enjoyment from Christmas decorations and lights.
Mike is preceded in death by his parents, "Hick" and "Jerri" Goodson, and his brother, Matt Goodson.
Mike is survived by his two brothers and their wives: Mitch and Cindy Goodson and Mark and Jeannie Goodson, of Edgewood; six nephews; one niece; and numerous other relatives.
Pallbearers will be his nephews and niece: Jason Goodson, Daniel Goodson, James Goodson, Scott Goodson, Lewis Goodson, Jeffrey Goodson, and Kayla Christopher.
