72-year-old Larry Thomas Reynolds of Carmi, died August 17 at his home. He was born May 4, 1949, in New Haven, the son of George W. and Frankie A. (Shepard) Reynolds.

Larry was a proud U.S. Army veteran and served in Vietnam during the Vietnam War. He enjoyed gardening, mushroom hunting, raising flowers, purple martin birds and hummingbirds. He never knew a stranger and he adored his family.

Survivors include daughters Tina Reynolds of Decatur, Illinois, Kelly (Ray) Johnson of Shirley, Arkansas; brother Donald Reynolds of Mt. Carmel; sister-in-law Carol Reynolds; grandchildren Terence Cole, Renee (Jeremy) Crosby, Rachel (Josh) Ake, William McAdow, Paige Johnson, Dillon Johnson, Haylee Smith, and Colby Sweat; and seven great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents; daughter Sharon Alters; and brother Lon Reynolds.

Burial with military rites will be in Union Ridge Cemetery near New Haven.
