The following obituary of Mrs. Jeremiah Rinehart, whose death was chronicled in our last issue, is taken from the Ogden Messenger: Lydia Ann Rinehart, wife of Jeremiah Rinehart, was born in Grant County, West Virginia, and passed away at Des Moines, Sunday, June 26 at 1 o'clock p.m. At the time of her death she was 64 years, 10 months and 16 days. The family came to this county in the spring of 1866 and made their home on their farm in Amaqua until last fall when they moved to Des Moines. Deceased was favorably known in Ogden and vicinity. She was a good woman, a faithful and true wife, a patient, kind and loving mother. She was a member of the U.B. church and consistent in her profession. Rev. Percy of Granger, Iowa, her former pastor, officiated at the funeral and talked from Timothy 4th chapter, 6th, 7th and 8th verses. In early life she embraced the Christian religion, lived in its enjoyment ever after and left this world in the full hope of a happy immortality. The funeral services were held in the Maple Grove church, near her old home where her former neighbors and friends gathered to show a last tribute of respect for one they had known so well and held in such high esteem.
