In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by 2 xhildren, Billy Ray Baker II and Melissa Ann Baker, his siblings, Georgia May Barber, H. B. Baker, Betty Jo Hancock, Bonnie Ruth Howell, Mary Helen Murphy, Shirley Ann Gibbs and Robert Baker, Jr.
He worked as a carpenter.
He is survived by 2 brothers, Glenn (Billie Ann ) Baker of Liberty, Jimmy (Fay) Baker of Smithville; 2 sisters, Dorothy Nell Leech of McMinnville, and Virginia Sue Mitchell of Cookeville; daughter, Shelia Hearn of Smithville; girlfriend, Nicole Gilley of Smithville; 3 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survive. Mr. Baker's family has honored his request to be cremated. No services are planned. DeKalb Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
