Christian C. Heine, 88, of Churchville, died peacefully on Monday, November 19, 2007, at his home.
Born in Philadelphia, Mr. Heine was a resident of Churchville for the past 50 years.
Christian was a graduate of Northeast High School and received his Bachelor of Science degree in 1958 from Temple University with a major in Electrical Engineering. For over 35 years Christian worked for Bell Telephone, retiring in 1980. He also worked for American Bell International in Iran as a consultant for two years. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army, 83rd Infantry Division during World War II and has attended all of the annual reunions. He was a member of the VFW Post # 6493; and he coached youth baseball and enjoyed golf. He was also a member of the North and Southampton Reformed Church.
Christian believed in giving his time to the youth and for over 15 years he taught "The Stock Market Game of Pennsylvania" to fifth graders at Cornwells Elementary School in Bensalem. He will be deeply missed by his loving family and many dear friends.
Son of the late Christian C. and Anna Link Heine, he is survived by his beloved wife of 64 years, Doris S. Seigle Heine, his two sons and their spouses, Christian C. Heine Jr. and his wife Margaret of Marlton, N.J., Gary E. Heine and his wife Kym of Jackson, Miss. He is also survived by his seven dear grandchildren, Christian, Kaitlin, Justin, Eric, Emily, Olivia and Philip.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Memorial Service Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at the North and Southampton Reformed Church, 1380 Bristol Rd., Churchville, where the family will receive condolences immediately after the service.
In lieu of flowers contributions in his memory may be made to the Memorial Fund of the above named church.
