Mabel Mae Bullard
Mabel Mae, daughter of Grant and Ida Ostrander, was born at Buffalo Center, Iowa, August 20, 1895. She grew to womanhood in the vicinity of her birth and in her youth she was converted and united with the Methodist Church in her vicinity, later transferring her membership to the Methodist Church in Rinard, where she was a faithful member for several years.
She was united in marriage with Fred Bullard, November 27, 1915 and after her marriage she located on a farm near Rinard, where she was loved and respected by a large circle of friends and acquaintances. She was a member of the Johnsonville Chapter of the Order ofthe Eastern Star, being a Past Worthy Matron of this Chapter.
She was the mother of ten children, a little daughter, Margie, died in early childhood.
Following a protracted illness she entered into rest at the Fairfield Memorial Hospital early Tuesday morning, July 30, 1957, age 61 years, 11 months and 10 days.
She is survived by her companion, six sons,. . . ; three daughters, . . . ; an aged father of Mason City, Iowa; three brothers, Earl and Robert of Buffalo Center, and Clarence of DeSoto, Iowa; one sister, Mrs. Ruth Grandyow of Seattle, Washingon, fifteen grandchildren, many other relatives and a host of friends and neighbors who are sad because of her passing.
Funeral services were held at the Johnsonville Methodist Church, Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock, conducted by Elder W.D. Crippin assisted by the pastor Rev. H.G. Coventry. Interment was in the Elmwood Cemetery at FLora.
