Charlotte Ann Scott, age 81, of Colfax, IN, formerly of Sheridan, IN, passed away unexpectedly at her home on Monday afternoon, August 9, 2021. Born on December 22, 1939 in Carroll County, IN, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Florence (Smith) Pearson.

She was a 1958 graduate of Delphi High School.

Charlotte worked for many companies throughout the years, including Central Lab in Lafayette, Essex of Flora and Target in Carmel as a floor worker.

She was a devoted Indiana Pacers and Purdue Boilermakers fan. She also enjoyed working on her many 4-H projects throughout the years.

Taking care of people was always first and foremost in Charlotte's life, and her home is where she felt most comfortable to do so. She loved putting out a garden every year, but more importantly, cherished the time she got to spend with her husband while tending to it. She was a loving mother and grandmother, but also opened up her home as a foster mother for over a decade. Whenever anyone in the neighborhood was in need of a babysitter, Charlotte was there. She enjoyed crafts, knitting, crochet and sewing, and when she had some time to herself, would make baby blankets, hats and outfits for various hospitals.

Charlotte is survived by two children; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one brother; one sister; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Terry Lynn Scott; brother, Barry Pearson; sister, Diana Shockley; and her husband Glenn David Scott on April 1, 2017. He and Charlotte were married in 1960.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, August 21, 2021 at Boxley Cemetery in Boxley, IN. Reverend V.J. Stover will be officiating.
