Daniel Alexander Long, 72, passed away on Friday, August 13, 2021.
He was born in Mecklenburg County, son of the late Kenneth Vinson Long and Estelle Cobb Long.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Joe Sellers.
Mr. Long is survived by his sisters, Carolyn Sellers, and Joyce Lineberger, and her husband, Neil; his niece, Laura Bailey, and her husband, John; his great-nieces, Emily and Isabelle; and number of cousins.
Mr. Long's family will greet guests from 3:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 17, 2021, at Alexis Baptist Church. A service to celebrate Mr. Long's life will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Alexis Baptist Church, 118 Alexis Church Rd., Alexis, NC 28006. Woodlawn Funeral Home of Mount Holly is serving Mr. Long's family.
