Bushnell, IL - Virginia Campbell, 80, formerly of Bushnell, died at 5:55 p.m. Monday, Sept. 1, 1997, at the Elms Nursing Home in Macomb.
Born April 6, 1917, in Roseville to Joseph Ralph and Esther Bauer Dare, she married Walter Dean Campbell Sr. on March 7, 1947, in Kansas City, Kan. He died Aug. 3, 1997.
She also was preceded in death by a half brother.
Surviving are two sons, Walter D. Jr. of Burlington, Iowa and Gary of Tampa, Fla.; one daughter, Cathy Pease of Scottsdale, Ariz.; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one sister, Maxine Miller of rural Bushnell; and two half sisters, Gladys Hurley of Bryant and Mabel Miller of Lewistown.
She was a resident of the Cuba area before moving to Bushnell in 1966. She worked for the Elms Nursing Home in Bushnell and in Macomb for 17 years, retiring in 1985.
Burial will be in Howard Cemetery in Smithfield.
