Carrie Marie Spencer, age 80, of. Milford, Virginia peacefully passed away Sunday morning in her family's care, holding her husband's hand and surrounded by her children. Carrie was born April 9, 1941 to Thelma and Nelson Mills. She was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Lockhart.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Thad L. Spencer; three sons, Lloyd, Jimmy, and Nelson; four daughters, Cindy, Tina, April, and Brittany who was a granddaughter but felt like more of a daughter; grandchildren, Joe, John, Mallory, Mindy, Jessica, Danielle, Spencer, Sierra, and Roseleigh; and 9 great-grandchildren.
Carrie was a loving mother, grandmother, devoted wife, and kind friend to all. She is loved and missed by many.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00am on Friday, August 6, 2021 at Nelsen Funeral Home, 412 S. Washington Hwy. Ashland, VA 23005. A graveside will follow at Woodland Cemetery, 11310 Hanover Ave., Ashland, VA 23005.
