Born on July 18, 1933, in Murray, Iowa, Robert Louis Day was the son of Hugh and Jennie (Kaine) Day. He grew up in the area of his birth and attended the public school in Murray. On December 30, 1955, he married Glenda Treadway in Lancaster, Missouri. Together they raised three children.
Bob was devoted to his family and was a very hard worker. The many years he worked in construction and concrete, he operated heavy equipment and helped to build many roads. He retired from Con-Struct. When not working, he loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. Bob and Glenda enjoyed traveling, wintering in Texas and playing cards. He was a faithful member of Trinity Lutheran Church.
Surviving are his daughter, Keitha (Randy) Flake; daughters-in-law, Janell Day and Connie Day; his grandchildren, Jill (Chad) Hollingsworth, Robert Cannon, Michael Day, Grant (Jessica Schossow) Day, Chandra Day, Beau Squires, and Anna Squires; and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Glenda; his two sons, Rex and Ivan; two sisters; and two brothers.
