Joan Hartman, 81, died Saturday,October 2, 2010 at Polk City Nursing and Rehabilitation. Funeral Services will be 11 a.m., Thursday, October 7, 2010 at Ankeny Funeral Home, 1510 W. First St., Ankeny. Interment will be 1:30 a.m. Thursday at Union Cemetery in Murray, Iowa.
Joan was born April 14, 1929 to Hugh LeRoy (Roy) and Jennie Isabella (Kaine) Day in Murray, Iowa.
Survivors include her daughters, Deanna (Jim) Good of Ankeny and Debra (Gary) Nielsen of Littleton, Colorado; grandchildren, Bryce (Andrea)Good, Brandon (Brie) Good, Allyx and Christian Nielsen; great granddaughter; Kalee Good; brother, Bob (Glenda)Day of Marshalltown and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Delbert Hartman; parents; granddaughter,Katie Diane Nielsen, sister, Lucille Brown and brothers, Curly and Tom Day
Visitation will be 10a.m., one hour prior to service time at Ankeny Funeral Home.
