David Lee McCallister, 79, of Pendleton, IN, passed away on August 11, 2021. He was born on August 20, 1941 in Boonville, IN to the late Burless and Ethel (Evans) McCallister.

He graduated from Boonville High School on May 28, 1959. David served in the US Army for 3 years and then went on to work for wonder bread where he later retired after 30 years. He played baseball for many years and got great enjoyment from it. David loved his family with his whole heart and would do anything to help anyone.

He is survived by two children; two siblings; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

David was preceded in death by his parents; two siblings, Don McCallister and Retta McBurnie; one daughter, Tina Baker; one stepdaughter, Candice Hicks; two grandsons, William Ayers and Silas Jackson; and one great-grandson, Everett Hagan.

Visitation will be on Monday, August 16, 2021 from 11 AM to 1 PM at Indiana Funeral Care, 2433 E. Main Street, Greenwood, IN 46143. Funeral service will follow at 1 PM. Burial will take place at Marion National Cemetery.
