Annie Mae Childers Spencer, 82, of Gaffney, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, August 9, 2021, at Cherokee Medical Center.
Born in Gaffney, she was the widow of the late Samuel Gene Spencer and daughter of the late Eddie C. Childers and Alice Mae Childers.
Surviving are two sons, Bobby Spencer (Lori) and Tommy Spencer (Becky), both of Gaffney; two daughters, Teresa Goodson (Eddie) of Blacksburg and Lisa Jarvis (Chuck) of Charlotte, NC; a sister, Barbara Ogle of Shelby, NC; five grandchildren, Bobby Spencer, Jr. (Tammy), Johnny Spencer (Fallon), Shawn Green, Jacob Jarvis, and Shelley Hansen; seven great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM on Thursday, August 12, 2021, at Blakely Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 PM in the Blakely Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Ashby Blakely officiating. Interment will be in Oakland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Voice of Triumph, 179 Corry Road, Blacksburg, SC 29702. The family will be at the residence in Gaffney, SC 29341.
