Fatal Accident:
Freddie, the youngest son of Lyman Kenyon, accidently (sic) shot himself Saturday afternoon, from the effect of which he almost instantly expired. He had gone down to Massuere's mill soon after dinner and came back for the gun saying something about shooting a turtle. From his position when discovered it appeared that he had been down into the flume and had climbed up and dragged his gun after him. The charge entered his leg, his left arm, and his body near the heart. Mr. Ed Gorton and another man were going home from the mill and heard his cries for help and returned to the flume. He died within three minutes of the time they reached him. He would have been twelve years old in July.
