William Henry Koch, "Billy" passed away peacefully in the arms of his life-long love, on Sunday morning, August 8, 2021 at his home in Chipley, Florida. While his death was completely unexpected by his loved ones, there is such peace in knowing that his Lord and Savior above called him home, all within His timing.

Billy was born on March 2, 1958 to Gordon Ray Koch and Velma Marie Holley. He was a proud graduate of Chipley High School class of 1977, and thoroughly enjoyed his time on the football team and being a friend to all who crossed his path. He married his life-long love, Carol Long Koch in December of 1977.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Velma Marie Holley Kirkland and step-father, Wilburn Kirkland.

Billy was known by his loving grandchildren as, Pa Pa. There is nothing he enjoyed more than being a part of their lives and having a role in watching them grow up. His grandchildren were his true passion. He especially loved his granddaughters-Jade Koch, Mackenna Koch, Kalan Koch, Savannah Brannon, Nova Rae Gates, and Kynlee Brock. His grandsons held a treasured place in his heart, also: Kayden Brock, Lane Brannon, and Lucas.

Billy had a special relationship with his sister, Nancy Koch Low, and husband Bob. They kept one another lifted up on a regular basis, and always enjoyed spending time with one another. Billy also leaves behind another sister, Angie Koch.

Billy is to be remembered as one of the most hardworking, kind, and humble men that his family knew. He worked and provided for his family without hesitation. He made a point to ensure that his family was taken care.

Billy spent a bulk of his life as a Right of Way Superintendent for various power companies. His pastime was mullet fishing, and he was known to have a cast net, ready to go. He also enjoyed cooking and grilling outside. He loved to have his family and friends over to eat any chance that he could.

He made a positive impact on many people. He gave his life to the Lord and from that moment on, his entire life changed. Despite his health over the last few years, Billy lived in a way to reflect the change Christ made in him. He wanted to have a positive influence on his family and friends. Billy did not worry about dying; his main concern was always his loved ones. His mission was for everyone on his path to see the change Christ made in him and to know the Lord. His desire was for his life to be a testimony. He knew he would spend eternity with his Heavenly Father.
