BOONSBORO - Denzil Mansil "Buck" Exline, 65, of 18502 Lappans Road, died Wednesday, May 20, 1998, at his home.
Born July 26, 1932, in Grafton, W.Va., he was the son of the late Arthur Dequoy and Willa LaRue Canfield Exline.
He was employed at Mack Trucks Inc., retiring in 1987.
A U.S. Army veteran, he served during the Korean War.
He was a charter member of Battlefield Bible Church, Fairplay.
He also was a member of American Legion Post 202 in Williamsport, W.D. Byron Post 1936 VFW in Hagerstown and UAW Local 171 of Hagerstown.
He crafted violins and dulcimers.
He is survived by his wife, Goldie M. Stevens of Boonsboro; three daughters, Linda LaRue Routzahn and Lana Leigh Millers, both of Martinsburg, W.Va., and Lori Lynnette Exline of Hagerstown; one son, Robert Keith Exline of Hagerstown; five sisters, Wilda Juanita Exline, Vonda June Stutler and Wyoma Maxine Gerkin, all of Grafton, W.Va., Wanda Jo Stutler of Cumberland, Md., and Idesta LaRue Exline of Hagerstown; five brothers, Charles Richard Exline of Grafton, David Lewis Exline, Bernard Neal Exline and Thomas Keal Exline, all of Sharpsburg, and Scott Arthur Exline of Hagerstown; six grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by four brothers, Willard Lee Exline, Lawrence Odell Exline, E.D. Exline and Darl Ekis Exline.
Private graveside services were held Friday at Cedar Lawn Memorial Park, 17636 W. Washington St., Hagerstown, at 11 a.m. with the Rev Paul G. Hawbaker officiating. Military honors were provided by Morris Frock Post 42 American Legion, Hagerstown.
The family requests the omission of flowers. Memorial donations be made to Hospice of Washington County, 101 E. Baltimore St., Hagerstown, Md. 21740.
Arrangements were by Osborne Funeral Home, Williamsport.
