LAVALE- Wanda Jo “Dude” Stutler, 84, of LaVale, passed away on Thursday, December 18, 2014 at the Western Maryland Regional Medical Center.
Born on March 31, 1930, in Grafton WV, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Willa LaRue (Canfield) Exline.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Richard Albert Stutler in 1999; her siblings, Lawrence Odell, Emmett “Ed” Dequoy, Charles “Dick” Richard, Wilda “Edie” Juanita, Vonda June, Denzil “Buck” Mansel, David Lewis, Wyoma “Kate” Maxine, Darl Ekis, Bernard “Elick” Neal, Scott “Pete” Arthur Clinton, Idesta “Missy” LaRue, Thomas Keal, Willard Lee. Wanda was the last surviving member of her immediate family. “Dude” was a very proud mother and grandmother and loved her family.
She worked at the Celanese Fiber Corporation until it closed and then was a homemaker.
She also worked at Hazel Atlas Glass Plant in Grafton WV.
She loved her sisters and brothers and family very much. “Dude” was a strong, independent lady and enjoyed camping, riding motorcycles with her husband, watching golf, Dancing with the Stars, Greys Anatomy and Hallmark Movies. She will be sadly missed.
Surviving are her two children, Judith Ann Stutler Fitzgerald, Richard Keith Stutler and wife Ann Morrison Stutler; granddaughter, MaryKate Elizabeth Conner and husband Steven; great-granddaughter Emmylou Grace Conner. As per her request, she will be cremated and a service will be held at a later date.
