Died at the age of 85 years, five months and 17 days. Married Elizabeth Turner, per The Hoosier Democrat, 28 August 1969, page 4.Cyrus moved from Georgia with his parents to Butler Co OH when a small boy.
He married Elizabeth Turner at age 21 and moved to IN 1834. Names of their children on 1850 Cass Co IN census: Lydia, David, Peter, Ellen, Josiah, Jacob, Cyrus W, and Diana(died Aug 1850 of typhoid fever).

He married Mrs Susan Fisher Miser in Illinois before 1860. 1870 census in Piatt Co IL he and Susan have son Alexander.

He was father of 12 children, seven sons and five daughters, of whom six sons and one daughter survive him.

Cyrus died at the residence of his daughter Ellen Myers (Mrs James Myers) in Deer Creek Twp. Carroll Co IN. He was a member of the Christian Church for over forty years.
The funeral was held at his daughter's residence and was attended by many people turning out to pay their last tribute to the memory of the well known pioneer.
