Susan Lynn Taylor, 67, of Long Point passed away Tuesday (August 3, 2021) at her home.

A visitation will be held Sunday from 3 until 6 PM at the Winterrowd Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM at the Long Point United Methodist Church. Burial following in Long Point Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be: Bob Taylor, Kyle and Kirk Beutke, Bill Berge, Gail Rapp, Kevin Gray, Steve Rapp and David Sass. Honorary will be her grandchildren.

Sue was born on March 13, 1954 in Norfolk, VA to James and Treva (Garman) Garl Jr. She married Kent Taylor on August 28, 1982. He survives.

Also surviving are her children: Katie (Eric) Paullin of Lexington, KY and Benjamin (Caitlin) Taylor of Normal; grandchildren: Liam and Emma Paullin, Alec, Andrew, and Adam Taylor; sister: Mary (Richard) Berry of Myrtle Beach, SC; nieces: Christina Reid and Rebecca Taylor; nephew: Robert Taylor; brother-in-law: Verne Taylor of Ancona; and sister-in-law: Mary Taylor of Bloomington.

Sue is preceded in death by her parents; granddaughter: Zoe Paullin; and nephew: William Taylor.

Sue earned her RN degree from Old Dominion University and a bachelor's degree from the University of St. Francis in Joliet. Sue retired from OSF Hospital in 2016. She was a member of the Long Point United Method Church, Long Point American Legion Auxiliary, Lindy Club, a former Wide-Awake 4-H Leader, and served as a former Woodland School Board member. Sue belonged to a quilting group with friends.

Memorials may be made in Sue's name to the Livingston County 4-H or to her grandchildren's college education funds.
